Love Songs for Shopkeepers

Work:: Love Songs for Shopkeepers (S4074)

The daily lives of a group of local radio jingle writers. Peter and Clare is a brilliant jingle writer. In the corridors of Radio Salford FM, he is widely regarded as the Elton John of jingles. His classics include J.P. Sports ("Sportswear that burns with the h-heat of the street") and Stormfront Double Glazing ("The rain can't touch me anymore"). The only problem is that all his jingles are failed love songs. Because more than anything else in life, Pete wants to be a songwriter. More than anything else in life, Michelle in the Sales Department wants Pete. Every time she gives him another jingle to write she falls for him a little bit more. Problem is, Pete promised himself he would never fall in love with anyone because it would mean them taking second place to his greatest desire.. But in the end, can you write a love song without ever having been in love? Can you research passion like you'd research a jingle for Stockport Caravan World? And if you try, how high a price will you eventually have to pay?
