John McDwyer describes Love Is... as a complete departure from his previous fun-filled work. While there remain many humorous touches in the new play, the writer is taking a very serious approach to two aspects of modern life and death and how events impact on people's commitment to love. He describes the work as something he had to get out of his system and says that it was the most difficult work he has taken on as a writer. It is a work that is laced with personal and social commentary and he says he has been overwhelmed by the audience response to this new work which has become another Beezneez blockbuster.
