These six short plays will be performed by community actors at TBTL and then on 27 April at Penrith Playhouse Theatre. They give a flavour of what scriptwriters with a link to Cumbria are up to these days. The plays offer an engaging evening, with a variety of themes and emotions, all with a common link of "Act your Age". Some are light-hearted: meet a cleverly enterprising restaurant waiter, for example, or an over-optimistic tribute band promoter. Others are more thought-provoking: witness a grandma gardening towards trouble or foresee a distressing example of where AI could take us.
