Little White Lies archiveLittle White Lies is a thoroughly entertaining pack of funny and sad stories about fibbing for any who's ever told a porky themselves, from politicians upwards. There are so many reasons to be economical with the truth, as one politician famously put it. Here are a few well-known whoppers: Beef is perfectly safe to eat/The cheque is in the post/There will be no cover-up/Our repairman will be there within the hour... Described as 'fairy tales for people with mortgages', Little White Lies shows a pair of crows bickering over the fastest way from A to B, a homeless man dreaming a rosy-tinted solution to his problems and a nun tangoing with her guardian angel in what The Independent described as 'a perfect parable of impossible love and human potential'. To the sounds of 60's girl bands and tricked out visual kitsch, Little White Lies conjures a world where cash machines pour forth money and politicians beg forgiveness. First mounted in 1996 the show toured to London in 1996 collecting rave reviews. Age guidance 14+
