Set in 1969 Last Song of the Nightingale follows the tempestuous final days of a concert tour, with singing star Martha Lewis rocketing from crisis to crisis as she struggles to perform to an adoring London crowd. A fragile, broken star, she still manages to whip the world around her into a frenzy, by turns becoming angry, scared and savagely funny.
