Kontakt

Work:: Kontakt (S0208082539)

Conversation, Charisma and Chance Kontakt is a theatrical experiment that blurs the boundary between performer and audience. 20 performers, 20 audience members and 20 bridge tables, each lit by a single overhanging light bulb. What follows is a series of unique one-to-one encounters, which can include conversations, drawing, writing and sometimes dancing.
Author Phillip Mackenzie (inspired by the work of German conceptualist Hannah Herzig)

Production:: (T1878846770)

Inspired by the work of German Conceptulalist, Hannah Herzig, Kontakt is a series of one-to-one performances with thirty young people aged 12-18, each sit at a table with a single light bulb and a chair opposite. Audience members are then invited to share in a unique encounter with them. "The idea behind the performance is getting two generations in contact with one another. How often does an adult sit across a table from a young person and have meaningful conversation?"
