Kagekio archiveKagekio, a famous soldier in the ancient history of Japan, has been reduced to the pitiable state of a blind beggar. His daughter searches for her father and to his horror finds him in this shameful condition. She asks him to tell her a tale of his past glories. Grudgingly he does so, the result is that all his bitter cholericism leaves him and prepares him for a peaceful death. He thanks his daughter calling her 'bridge to my salvation'.
