June archiveJune focuses on the life of Billy, an ex-drag queen who now works as a supermarket cashier reminiscing about his past. He spends most of his days desperately trying to recreate his old routines but is never able to capture the magic of his younger self due to his struggle with arthritis. This desperation drives him to reach out to an ex-lover who runs the local drag scene, while also forcing himself to go on hookups as a distraction. When his attempts finally fall apart, he goes back to his best friend in a last-ditch effort to hold the most important relationship in his life together. With her help, he forms an understanding of his new life and embarks on one final performance. Billy is an ex-drag queen trying to reclaim his past glory. He launches a desperate attempt to do one final performance and connect to his past, even as it tests his relationships and makes him question everything he believes.
