Set in Boston Massachusetts, Joined at the Head is the tale of the relationship between three high school contemporaries some twenty years on. Jim, now a high school English teacher is married to terminally ill Maggy. He bumps into an old flame - also called Maggie - now a best-selling novelist. Jim's invitation to visit results in an unlikely but immediate friendship between Maggie the writer and Maggy Jim's wife.
