I Have Been Here Before

I Have Been Here Before

Work:: I Have Been Here Before (S3674)

A group of strangers are brought together in a remote inn on the Yorkshire moors. Startled by the arrival of an unexpected guest, they soon discover that all their lives are inextricably linked, and a decision by any one of them could have profound consequences for them all. Gradually the mysterious visitor reveals that perhaps they are not strangers at all and everything that is happening now has all happened before...
Author J B Priestley

Production:: (T02003266539)

Exploring precognition and the fluidity of time and pitting fate against free will, I Have Been Here Before sets up a strange confrontation between real events and their alternatives to create a supernatural tale of mystery and suspense. Along with Time and The Conways and Dangerous Corner, the 1937 work is one of Priestley's ?time plays? inspired by Russian mathematician and mystic P D Ouspensky's theories that whatever happens has already occurred many times and will do so again.
