How far can you go when watching a theatre performance? Yards? Miles? Zecora ura theatre invites anyone interested in experiencing a 'moving' theatre performance for FREE to be part of 'Honey, Babe' Project - inside a Connex train. This project, first performed in Oct 2001 directed by Montse Triola, is one of ZECORA URA's experiments on Site-specific performances that also include: 'Don't Feed The Lions' (fully performed inside a male toilet) and 'The Kingdom of Ubu' (performed inside three old sheds that were about to be knocked down in Lamorbey Park - Sidcup). It takes you 25 minutes to get to Sidcup Rail Station (where the performance starts) from London Bridge Rail Station and about 30 minutes from London Charing Cross or Waterloo East Station. The price of a Day Return varies from 3 to 4 ukpounds , but it won't be even near half the price of a concession ticket in any theatre of London. The Performance is based on Deborah Levy's text 'Honey, Babe' and includes live music played by three musicians that travel in the train with the performance. Unfortunately, the seats are limited and there is no possible way of booking a seat. The performance starts in the main Platform and moves into the train as it arrives (note that ZECORA URA Theatre can't be blamed by delays on the trains, but make sure you're there to see what happens if a train is cancelled!). This Project allows the spectator to live through a different world of dialogue, relationship and conflict inside a place they believe to know very well. The performances of the actors and musicians are constantly influenced by the space, the time, the relationships between characters and from the strangest reactions you can get from the audience. The piece is also full of surprises in each of the 7 stops that the train makes before getting to London Charing Cross, and then you may want to join the cast in any of the nearest pubs for an informal post-show discussion. The piece lasts anything between 40 minutes and as long as the train takes to get to its final destination - but don't worry, for cake and hotdogs may be provided during the show.
