Homeland archiveHomeland is a fun, lively colourful, highly visual musical extravaganza with a world theme involving a cast of 35 adults, the majority of whom have learning disabilities. The play opens with the sound of waves crashing against the shores and the cast mournfully singing about their homeland before a ship and its crew set off on their journey. It tells the story of an emancipated slave witch doctor who gets hijacked by gang of girlie pirates on his way back to his homeland. Along the way, they get shipwrecked on a desert island inhabited by degenerate monks and man eating mermaids and encounter a female Tarzan and a siren.
