Hjem archiveA Norwegian fishing vessel is struck by a storm in the North Sea in the 1950's. Its crew, rescued by an English ship heading homewards, soon find themselves in a sleepy coastal town in Northumberland. A whirlwind romance ensues between one of the fishermen and the daughter of his hosts. 60 years later, the romance is discovered by a teenage girl - recently relocated to help look after her dementia-suffering grandmother. As she strikes up contact with the elderly fisherman in his own sleepy coastal village in Norway, an unusual bond is forged between two unlikely friends.
