What does good works and charity mean in the 21st century? For half a century, Anoek Nuyens' great aunt ran the charity Auxilium (Latin for ?help'). Since its establishment in the 1960s, the foundation has provided financial support to various small-scale medical projects in Africa. Now that her great aunt has reached the age of 97, she thinks it's time to hand over to a new generation, and is passing on responsibility for the foundation to Anoek. But how to proceed? Do we still even believe in development cooperation in 2015? To find answers, Anoek sets off for Africa where she finds tragic personal stories, but also new voices.
