Guilty? archiveIn Guilty our present day take on this notorious love story we retain the class aspect as central to the story but to further spice the mix we have added the element of colour. Following the near fatal injuries that Sir Clifford Chatterley suffered during his tour of Iraq, he returns home wheelchair bound. After years of tireless devotion his wife, Lady Chatterley does indeed turn to her husband's trusted employee, Mellor's for physical comfort that develops into an all-consuming love. In this production, however, Mellors is a Black Briton of Jamaican decent who still lives with his extended family. When The Aristocracy meet head on in a clash of culture with The Yardies a thrilling theatrical debacle ensues. The love affair renders Mellor's Jamaican wife incandescent with rage and Lady Chatterley's husband Sir Clifford obsessed with revenge
