Green Field archiveJo is preparing a dinner party in her and Bill's lovely show house on the new estate. Who wouldn't want a night a good wine and great company? It's good to catch up when you've got things in common. When you know your friends. Especially when your best friend Katie is bringing along her new man Bob to meet everyone for the first time. But while Jo is fussing in her fully fitted kitchen and setting out their best in the luxurious dining room, and Bob's sat in the immaculate front room with the new sofas, Bill would prefer to be in his double garage. Things are starting to get awkward. These Green Field developments are popping up outside all the town and everyone with any sense or money is moving out to them. Soon these sites will be all over the place. In fifty years time the town centres will be empty and everywhere will be like this. Put it all away. Get a new everything if he could. Just like this place. It's so completely you Bill, this Green Field. Dead and full of nothing. That's your mentality. Nothing. A new house. A new wife. A new life altogether.
