Fractures

T1126048163
A powerful and emotionally charged play exploring the less-than-perfect relationships that develop between people who are brought together as a consequence of their 'day jobs' as theatre professionals. Set in modern-day London, the action revolves around five characters (Susannah, Jack, Malcolm, Peter, Steven) who are forced by necessity to get to know each other and we watch their lives unfold under the glare of the stage, often with brutal and devastating consequences. The contrasting and ever-shifting dynamic between Jack and Susannah who are poles apart and yet have similarly fractured pasts, heightens the tension as they try, and fail, to get along. Each of the characters actions in the present are dictated by whether they have risen above or have fallen victim to the personal demons of their own pasts.
