Based on the ancient Indian folktale of Kora and his sister, Four Ladders, Seven Brothers and a Couple of Brooms combines traditional Indian folklore with the thrills of a martial arts movie. The show brings vividly to life a cautionary tale of love and passion, incest and murder, in which a family turns on its most vulnerable members - echoing a universal theme in folklore from Europe's Hansel and Gretel to China's The Golden Reed Pipe.
