Forward archiveWhat do you do when your parents refuse to show up to their own ruby wedding party, you've got a gobby daughter who's always on her soap box, a runaway son who's a wannabe black rapper, and a dead end job in debt collection? The pressure on Dad is building up and about to blow...with shades of The Royle Family, The Simpsons, Rab C. Nesbitt or even the black comedy about an extraordinary Birmingham working class family's attempts to come to terms with its past, present and future. Forward was partly inspired by Raymond Mason's statue of the same name which was disastrously burned down last Easter. This play contains strong language.
