Foreverland

Foreverland

Work:: Foreverland (S01822240908)

'Foreverland' imagines a near future in which immortality has become possible for the privileged elite, adding a new and intriguing layer to the concept of the "haves and the have nots". This dystopian projection is far closer to our lived reality than we may realise: a recent boom of Silicon-Valley investment in longevity medicine has caused leading scientists to predict that the first generation of people to live for hundreds of years, or even thousands, has already been born. What would vastly extended human life-spans mean for social change, or for interpersonal relationships?

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
