April 1st 1982 - Hugh Hughes prepares to make his first tentative steps off the Isle of Anglesey. Suddenly the Menai Bridge collapses before him and the island begins to shift away from the Welsh mainland. With the islanders celebrating their newfound independence around him, Hugh seems to be the only one desperate to return Anglesey to its right home. Can a mysterious family secret hold the key to saving the island or is it destined to drift forever at the mercy of the Irish Sea?
