Reality TV comes to the North-East, courtesy of an ambitious TV producer in desperate need of finding a ratings-winning programme - and fast - to save his job. The idea is simple - find a local quine with limited social skills and transform her in the course of a week into a West-End society beauty; all for the benefit of the local TV audience watching live on Grampian. The producer discovers a strong-willed local lassie from Fittie whilst filming a news-piece on killer seagulls at the Beach Boulevard and he sets out to win the hearts and minds of the Aberdeen public.
