Finale archiveAbstracted from Emile Zola's Therese Raquin. A dramatic performance installation for 35 viewers at a time. Abstracting Emile Zola's novel, 'Therese Raquin' Finale explores the themes of deception, lust, spite and domination. This is theatre full of sexual obsessions and jealous distractions played out against the hypnotic repetitions of Velma's minimalist soundwork. Installation, video and photographic works serve to further blur the boundaries between gallery and stage, activity and page. Finale revels in the dirt of Zola's text and, true to form, Pacitti's latest work is compelling and explicit, uncompromising and cruel. Please note Finale contains explicit scenes which some may find disturbing.
