Friend and contemporary of Picasso and Cocteau, the French writer, painter and ocultist Max Jacob died in Gestapo captivity in 1944. Faces of the Night is a wordless obituary for Jacob performed by puppeteer Frank Soehnle and thirteen rubber devils.
