Ecstasy archiveA turbo-charged comedy about chemical-drugs and the quest for love. Nightclub/theatre event: featuring - DJ mixing live; plus video, film and slide projections by Cody Wan Kenobi; also club dancers & alcoholic beverages. Ecstasy is driven by the charm and energy of Irvine Welsh' characters and the gritty reality of their lives. Lloyd Buist is a layabout searching for that missing something in his life. He hangs out with friends, goes clubbing, gets high, has sex, spins records, makes soup, drops acid and realises he is lonely. Heather is an office assistant on the verge of leaving her job and her unhappy marriage to a yuppie husband. She breaks her bonds and is introduced to the world of dance, acid house and ecstasy. Here Lloyd and Heather meet. Is it love at first sight or is it just a chemical romance?
