Details
Dick and Daisy is a costume drama, based on the well-received book - "Alias Richard Lee (Pictures Of a Chaplin Actor)". The play, which will appeal to all lovers of nostalgic days gone by, tells the story of a stage-struck young girl who discovers her grandmother's scrapbook, replete with theatrical pictures, in a Cornish cottage. There is mystery surrounding the grandfather, a minor actor in the Charlie Chaplin films. What had he done which caused him to skip the country, thrusting Marguerite and her two children into poverty? As a matter of interest, the granddaughter, a trained actress, will now play her grandmother, Marguerite, in old age.
