Cooley Women archive?Cooley Women' consists of two inter-linked one-act plays, exploring characters from the Ulster Cycle of Irish myths and the An Tain Irish legends. The first play features two of the Morrigan sisters, Morrigan herself and Macha, famous for her curse on all Ulstermen. The second play is an account of Queen Maeve's desire to capture the Brown Bull of Cooley. Incorporating ancient Celtic rituals (including a rarely seen hand-fasting ritual), and tales of wealth, power and war, both of these exceptional plays offer a unique insight into Irish mythology...and the Women who shaped Irish folklore and legends.
