Clare's Walk archiveCome with us on a trip from London to the Fens in search of John Clare - poet, visionary and lunatic. Follow the same journey the celebrated poet made in 1841 when he walked for three days to his home near Peterborough from the Epping Forest asylum where he had been incarcerated. Along the way, a succession of characters help to reveal the hidden landscapes of the A1 corridor and expose the environmental issues that should concern us all. Deepened and illuminated by Clare's own verse and prose, the play offers a thoughtful, topical and engrossing voyage through our own corner of this green and pleasant land.
