Chodzenie - Siberia archive1941 - Stalin released 1.5 million Polish citizens, captives in Siberia. They were told to make their way to Iran: a journey of some three and a half thousand miles. Chodzenie - Siberia tracks the herding of the Polish citizens and their removal from their social and personal spaces into an artificial mass of people. This abstract, multi-layered performance explores the physical and personal encounter of Polish and Iranian cultures.
