It's nearly midnight at the Bedewell Art Gallery. Kev, a security guard, is doing his rounds, when his old mate Nev appears in the gallery with an unlikely excuse. Kev isn't convinced though and neither is Nev he's there on a 'need to know' basis, but doesn't know why. When the mysterious Bev drops in, things take a dramatic turn and all eyes are suddenly on the wooden packing case in the centre of the room. On a new Tyneside where there are more art galleries than shipyards, Kev, Nev and Bev confront some perplexing questions. Who is Charlie? Are these really his trousers?
