Ceisio'i Bywyd Hi archiveSherman Cymru presents a new, bold Welsh language production, with live music from the Acid Casuals, as part of this year's National Eisteddfod in Bala. Ceisio'i Bywyd Hi is a series of scenes, monologues, songs and negotiations between unnamed characters, that tell a story…that conjures a woman, referred to as Ann, who at various times is a an urban terrorist, a proud mother, a humanitarian worker, a scientist, a porn star, an artist and even a brand new model of a car. And yet she never appears. The result is a modern-day fable - a tragic comedy for our time. From material greed to unconditional self-sacrifice, from unprotected sex to religious fundamentalism, this is a provocative vision of a world of fear, detachment and alienation and a poignant portrayal of contemporary obsessions.
