Callaghan's Place archiveThis play, the second part of McDwyer's Leitrim trilogy, tells the story of the arrival of a stranger in a rural community following the purchase of Callaghan's Place after the deaths of the bachelor brothers. Paul and Mary Dolan, already trying to come to terms with the upcoming departure to college of their only child, are further disturbed by the stranger's arrival, with tragic and life-changing events as a result. This is a play with a mixture of humour and pathos.
