Boys/Girls - The PappyShow Double Bill archiveBoys - A celebration of Manhood. What do we feel, what do we show, what do you see? We are throwing ourselves headfirst into exploring this question; with a cast of young men of colour, sharing their stories, their experiences, their hopes. We want to show the things about boys that you don't always get to see. We want to challenge the things we think we already know. We want to celebrate the things that make us different and the same. From our tenderness to our silliness, our strength to our vulnerability from the way we walk to the pitch of our voice. We are young men whose communities, families and heritage span the entire world. We will show you stories of our brothers, best friends, parents and lovers. This is our joyful and tender dance that hopes to unravel preconceptions and uncover the endless possibilities that can make up a man. Girls - brings you the stories of our sisters, daughters, mothers, nanas, aunts, lovers, best friends - the queens who have touched our lives. Devised by a chorus of women whose ages range from seventeen to seventy - this is a whole-hearted dance, investigating what it means to be a woman now through the lived experience of our Girls.
