'Maybe there's something wrong with both of us.' Blue Balloons Pink follows Ash and Maggie as they set up for their baby shower. Over the course of the play relationships are birthed, secrets are conceived, and lies can no longer be carried. We're all the heroes of our own stories and Ash and Maggie are no different. Both of them only doing what they believe is best for themselves, their relationship and each other. The play asks questions of the compatibility of love and deceit, fantasy, and commitment. When the truth is inconvenient how far will people delude themselves and others in order to preserve their desired reality? Blue Balloons Pink is the debut work of Daisy Roe and Juvenile Behaviour Theatre, featuring new music from Joel Oldham and Anna Foye and with a new designer, Lucy White; this play brings together original ideas under the guidance of experienced director Miranda Kingsley.
