Blood on the Snow archiveThe winter solstice?where death meets joy in equal measure. The dark hinge of the year with the hope of spring curled and sleeping in its slow beating heart. Following on from the sell-out delight that was A Curious Zoo Caroline Sabin returns this year with a cockle-warming theatrical presentation of Benjamin Britten's iconic choral masterpiece A Ceremony of Carols. Step through the wardrobe into an imposing church interior where a magical snow laden forest grows. Here a group of dryads will sing, dance, fly, squabble, knit, throw snowballs and generally entertain your woolly winter socks off. With an extraordinary cast of multi skilled performers, come spend an hour in this enchanted woodland. Expect tokens of love, heart melting beauty and slapstick antics while the scent of the pine forest pervades each moment. And yes - there will be pie.
