Karper s latest piece is based on autobiographical material, but deals in universal subjects - friendship over time, relationships, and what it is like to be a foreigner in a variety of cultures. The show encompasses life in Japan, high school, accordions, break-ups, gay love, straight love, breakfast food and real people called Steve: Steve K misses his 20th reunion, Steve S breaks up over the word 'cereal and, in the final story, Steve H falls in love with his best friend, the head boy of his comprehensive.
