On the 20th August 1997, people across Britain set up camp outside record shops to be among the first to get their hands on Oasis' new album, Be Here Now, on its release the following day. The album's content was a mystery... What would the music sound like? What would the inlay look like? Would it surpass the last album? Be Here Now explores the thrill and anticipation of waiting, buying, owning and consuming music - alongside the way that we chart our lives through how we listen to music, build a record collection and create a soundtrack to our lives. And the disappointment when the record, like Be Here Now, is not as good as you'd hoped.
