T0562136553Neil LaBute received religious discipline (or "disfellowshipment") from The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, or the Mormon Church, when this deliciously dark and depraved trilogy premiered at the Douglas Fairbanks Theater, New York in 1999, starring Calista Flockhart, Ron Eldard, and Paul Rudd. Shortly after, he left the church altogether. The trilogy, exposing hideous crimes of fresh faced church going people, conflating the face of evil with the peaches and cream of middle America, arrives at Trafalgar Studios 2, where it previously appeared in 2007. The transfer arrives after a highly successful, critically acclaimed run at The Old Red Lion Theatre in March and follows another recent Old Red Lion alumni to the venue, The Play That Goes Wrong, which now plans a forthcoming run at the Duchess theatre.
