Lunga Radebe is an actor and playwright from Soweto, South Africa. He has won numerous awards, including: the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship; the prestigious Haines Prize for Exceptional Young South African Actor; the Hammerstein Columbia University award for Extraordinary Talent and where he recently completed his MFA working with Ann Bogart, Kirstin Linklater and Arnold Aronson. Peter Brook recently invited him to audition. He has performed for the South African and international stage. His latest play, Avalon, has just been staged in New York and reflects dynamic new South African township theatre.
