Two young soldiers are on anti-aircraft duty at the top of St Mary's Church, Nottingham. It's 1943 and they ask 'What are we fighting for?' 'Soft or a Girl' gives them a vision of the future and an answer to their question - 'The British way of life aren't we?' It's 1973 with long hair, flared trousers and a new sexual freedom, but is it classless? A theatrical extravaganza of comedy, pathos, nostalgia and music set in and around Nottingham.
