Work:: An Honorary Yorkshireman (S1955916001)

An Honorary Yorkshireman tells the story of a young vet who, in 1937, arrived in the Yorkshire Dales and was immediately enchanted by the landscape and the people. Thirty years later he charmed the world with his stories of the Dales and the life of a country vet. James Herriot is a name familiar to many, either through his books or the incredibly popular television series, All Creatures Great and Small. An Honorary Yorkshireman is a gentle comedy celebrating the life of the Glaswegian who was welcomed into the Yorkshire-fold. It celebrates the early years of All Creatures Great and Small, reliving hilarious and touching encounters as the young vet finds his feet and is finally accepted by the local characters. Join Tom the barman in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales as he plays host to the regulars that gather together to catch-up on the local news and gossip. The new vet come down from Glasgow is struggling to find his feet, and his ears must be burning as still the seasons roll on...
