Adrift
Work:: Adrift (S01106182746)
Adrift is a fresh take on stage science fiction written and first performed as part of East 15's Debut Festival of new theatre in March 2023. In this one act play three performers tell the story of a man struggling to cling on to life and an artificial intelligence that is desperate to find out what it means to "live." This piece takes a deep dive into the moral ambiguity of surrounding contemporary uses of AI, as well as being unafraid to tackle dark themes of isolation and abuse.
CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
