It's good to be woke, right? But can wokeness be undemocratic? Or harmful? Two households live in adjacent terraced housing. Elaine is a feminist social worker divorcee, living with Richard, her PhD tenant. Next door, Steve, a neanderthal scaffolder, lives with Val, his downtrodden, yet aspirational, wife. Their lives are worlds apart, bar one thing: Steve wants Richard in his pub darts team. The response of the two households to issues of identity, let alone their inter-relationships, evolve in ways both dramatic and humorous. Might they experience a Rude Awokening?!
