A Play, A Pie and A Pint - Snout

A Play, A Pie and A Pint

Work:: A Play, A Pie and A Pint (S680605636)

Emerging and experienced writers present short new plays presented by the best actors and directors. The A Play, a Pie and a Pint series are script in hand readings of brand new plays from the region's most exciting playwrights. Enjoy the play with a pie and a pint (or a soft drink!)

Production:: Snout (T1647529955)

Viv, Coco and Lacey are trapped in a van. The heat is unbearable and they're desperate to escape. But time is running out! Can they escape the purpose that they've been bred for, or will they have to face the harsh reality? Anarchist Coco, wants to leave a legacy that's more than just skin-deep; determined to avoid the plate she hatches a master escape plan. But pragmatist Viv and wannabe actress Lacey aren't the escaping kind and can't have Coco muddying the little time they have left to reminisce on the good ole days. This surreal comedy examines why we slaughter animals for fashion, food and questions the ethics in doing so. Warning: you may never eat a pork pie in the same way again! Top quality theatre combined with excellent food; giving audiences both a FREE pie anda FREE pint as part of your ticket deal as well as a brilliant evening of entertainment. Following previous successes of Leviathan, Happy Hour and Mr. and Mrs. Laughton, don't miss out on the fun, food, drink and drama in Kelly Jones's new piece Snout.
