A Midsummer Night's Dream

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Work:: A Midsummer Night's Dream (S2295)

On a midsummer's night Hermia and her lover Lysander flee from Athens and Demetrius - the man Hermia's father favours as a son-in-law. Demetrius follows, pursued by Helena who loves him in spite of being spurned in favour of Hermia. On the same night Bottom and his friends leave Athens to find somewhere quiet to rehearse their play which is to be performed at the wedding feast of Duke Theseus. Drawn into the woods they enter a world of magic, mystery and wonder.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first night of this production.Cringedwhen l saw a party of schoolchildren in front of where l was sat...but they were Oh so quiet...it was me making more noise laughing! The six actors each play several parts and so many props and costumes on stage the props department must gave had a headache keeping everything in place. Well well done to not just the 6 on stage but all the crew not visible to the audience.l shall be recommending this to friends so if people turn up for future shows it means my friends have taken heed !
