How do we protect the ones we love the most, when their world is imploding? Germany, early 1930s. Using a mix of will, humour and imagination a father tells his son stories to help him escape from the building tension in their homeland. Shared around a kitchen table over a family dinner, or whispered under the covers before bedtime, these stories transport his son to a world a little less frightening.
