A Game of Golf

Work:: A Game of Golf (S2211)

Upon learning that her husband Toby Teasdale intends to turn over a new leaf, Celia loyally resolves to stand by him. But Toby's new healthy life style, spending all day on the golf course with best friend Miles Coombes, creates not one but two 'golf widows' which doesn't suit Celia one little bit. As for the other reluctant 'widow', Rowena Coombes, she is made of sterner stuff. The stage is set for marital confrontation between the parties - unfortunate perhaps they choose the golf course for their showdown, in the middle of the Ladies' International Friendly Match at that, thus igniting the fury of English Skipper, Mrs Irene Pridworthy. Golf will never be the same.
Author Alan Ayckbourn
