A Dream Play archiveWho doesn't dream? In dreams we fix things, wish for miracles, fear damnation and imagine magic. As a dream would, Strindberg's play unpicks timelines, morphs the improbable, condenses universal experiences and evaporates reason. Absurd abstractions become logical. In part re-imagined by Caryl Churchill, Agnes, daughter of God Indra, descends to Earth to unravel the cause of human suffering. Is Love really doomed to fail those who believe in it? What's behind the door? Why a green bucket? You will get questions, you might find answers, and in the end perhaps see joy in accepting life for what it is.
