But even as they plan their escape, they find themselves locked in a grisly battle with a grieving stranger over their dead father's legacy. Woven with pitch black humour A Butcher of Distinction combines Joe Orton's wickedest imaginings and Harold Pinter's cynicism on society operating at its most entrepreneurial. Hayes' ability to push the darker side of the imagination to the extreme comes to the fore in this new and provocative piece of theatre.
