YOUNG, FRESH and blurring the boundaries between youth and professional theatre, TYPT has built a reputation for presenting up-to-the-minute and thought-provoking theatre for a new generation of audiences. Each year, 10 Black and Asian Londoner s between the ages of 16 and 23 are given the opportunity to create an original piece of theatre culminating in a distinctive public performance of a play. Directed for the fourth year running by critically acclaimed performance artist Mem Morrison and produced in an intimate setting, the result is an unparalleled piece of performance charged with the ideas, energies and emotions of a critical generation.
